It is understood that owing to pressure on the Communications Department of the Foreign Office it is at present impossible to forward enquiries from private individuals to His Majesty's Consuls, but I am to suggest that, should you wish to enquire further regarding your daughter and her children's whereabouts you should address a "reply prepaid "telegram to His Majesty's Consul-General at Manila.
4. If you will forward your
daughter's name to this Department a further communication will be addressed to you after the receipt here of the lists of persons evacuated, to which reference is made above.
